The Night Ministries Night Walks: An urban immersion experience
What would you do if you were suddenly homeless and found yourself on the street with no friends, parents, and only a few dollars in your pocket?

Gain a deeper understanding of the young people and adults on Chicago’s nighttime streets.

Time: 3-hour, single-evening experience
Location: Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood
Participants: Groups of 5-40 individuals age 13 and older

1st hour: Preparation. Includes facts about homelessness, discussion of The Night Ministry’s mission and programs, description of on-the-street exercise

2nd hour: Urban immersion exercise

3rd hour: Process feelings and thoughts about the experience
